2021 has been filled with new adventures, such as purchasing our first home and getting married in the middle of a pandemic! Hiking has taken a back seat this year, but I've had plenty of fun learning new local trails by trail running. For me, trail running is similar to hiking, except I can cover more miles in less time.
-In July I completed the BFTUltra course as an unsupported solo attempt. I hiked and ran 64 miles in roughly 24 hours, which was exhausting and exhilarating! Along the way I saw many other hikers, including a porcupine who shared the trail with me around 4am!
-Complete the Chuck Keiper Trail in one sub 24 hour push (I know this sounds stupid but we all need goals, right?). This has been a goal for several years now, but I just haven't found time to complete this one just yet.
